Te Marama collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of ours that receive anything from you.
If you tap "Use my location", your device's coordinates are used on your device to compute how the Moon appears in your sky (orientation, moonrise and moonset times). Your location is never transmitted, stored remotely, or shared. You can instead pick a preset city or type coordinates by hand, and the app works fully without granting location access.
The app remembers small preferences (your chosen observer location, maramataka sequence and display styles) in local storage on your device only. Deleting the app removes them.
None. The app bundles its imagery and data (NASA imagery, IAU nomenclature, published maramataka sources — credited in the app's About tab) and does not call third-party services.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
